Renée DeGagné
Renée De Gagné is a Montreal-based professional artist working in mixed media; she develops two ongoing series that explore contrasting yet complementary themes. Her Urban series celebrates architectural heritage as a vessel of collective memory, combining acrylics, ink, photo-montage, and handmade paper to capture the vitality and texture of cityscapes. In contrast, her Nature series offers a freer, more intuitive expression that balances figuration and abstraction through spontaneous gestures and custom-made tools. Rooted in memory and emotion rather than strict representation, De Gagné’s semi-figurative works invite viewers to form their own connections and interpretations, blending structure with sensitivity.
